The Faculty of Science (Intermediate) courses lead to a qualification equal to “A” level, which is accepted by professional colleges for admission purposes. The majority of Edwardes students undertake these courses prior to entering medical and engineering colleges. Pre-medical students take biology, physics and chemistry for two years plus three compulsory subjects (English, Urdu and Islamiat (first year – Pakistan Studies in the second). Students who have studied biology in FSc can apply for admission in Peshawar University for the Bachelor of Biotechnology (BBT) degree. Students who do not go to professional colleges can opt for Bachelor of Science (BSc). FSc students can also do the Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree or the Higher National Diploma (HND) course.
