The Faculty of Science (Intermediate) courses lead to a qualification equal to “A” level, which is accepted by professional colleges for admission purposes. The majority of Edwardes students undertake these courses prior to entering medical and engineering colleges. Pre-engineering students take math, physics and chemistry for two years plus three compulsory subjects (English, Urdu and Islamiat (in first year) and Pakistan Studies (in the second)). Students who do not go to professional colleges can opt for Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) degrees (the latter preferably but not exclusively if they have studied computer science). FSc students can also do the Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree or the Higher National Diploma (HND) course.
